Third Story - Lemon Wheat

really super lemon forward, almost at the expense of the rest of the beer, like tangy lemonade blended in or something almost like a shandy. there is a pucker to it in the nose and the taste, a sort of cheapness to it like powdered lemonade rather than squeezed fruit. i get the wheat in the base, and it has some body for how low alcohol this is. the traditional hefeweizen yeast profile is pretty minimal here, lost to the intensity of the lemon, but it still drinks like a wheat beer, and its more than one dimensional, even if subtle. i like the lemon being tart not sweet, its rare in beer like this, and even though i think its dosed a bit too highly, i appreciate this side of the fruit in here. its well carbonated and plenty light, maybe a little sloppy overall in terms of technical execution, but its summery and drinkable. i had higher hopes for the beers in here, and didnt love either one that i had, but i keep hearing favorable reviews, maybe i just ordered wrong. not sure this would taste like much without the lemon...
