Clear bright amber color with plenty of foam in the Hopleaf goblet. Aroma of papaya, green pepper, and pine. Resiny taste and moderately bitter. Flavors of citrus, a sweet and acidic tang like kumquats. Plenty of bitterness in the aftertaste. Candied orange peel and rather hot, somehow.
Quite intense flavors with a lingering malty sweetness, but not sugary. Overall this is a pleasant and zingy sort of West Coast IPA well worth trying. From the 12 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station in Bellingham.

30th anniversary brew, collaborated with a host of former Pike brewers who went on to great things in the industry.
12oz can, dated 9/20/19, poured into 14oz teku. Poured an attractive dark honey-gold color with good retention and moderate lacing.
The aroma had a solid, but somewhat sweet, malt base, with plenty of citrus and pine hops upfront.
Fairly much the same on the tongue, solid malts, bright, bold hops.
The body was medium-full, and had a semi-sweet finish.
Drinkability was very good, the kind of beer that's easy to drink several of.
Overall, a nice tribute to a lot of the folks who helped define the "Classic NWIPA" back in the day. Worth trying if you see it.
