Golden amber brew with decent foam in the Kasteel chalice. Pleasant grainy aroma. Average prickly carbonation and a light body. This starts out with a mild bit of sugar cookie and then is oddly bitter-- like, did I get sunscreen on my lips? It's rather strange since there is no actual hop flavor and it doesn't emerge until after several sips. I have an affection for Pike Brewing from when they used to have the great beer museum at their Pike Market restaurant. Not that it's that bad, but with even the most average Festbiers worthy of a quaff I'd call this on "least best Oktoberfest of 2025," alas. From the 16 oz can. Dated 09/04/25.
