Assertive hoppy & floral west coast style IPA. Pike Space Needle Golden IPA is generously brewed with five varieties of Yakima Valley aroma and flavoring hops. We then dry hop it with whole-cone Columbus, Summit and Centennial hops, which impart a floral aroma that has catapulted this beer to one of Pike Brewing customer’s favorite IPA’s.

This beer won a blind tasting competition to be the commemorative beer for the Space Needle’s 50th anniversary in 2012. It was so well received that it has been added to Pike’s year-round collection.

It was 1962 and the world came to Seattle for the World’s Fair and its futuristic symbol, the Space Needle. The beer served at the ‘62 World’s Fair? Likely nothing at all like this west coast style IPA, generously brewed with five varieties of Yakima Valley aroma and flavoring hops. We then dry hop it with whole-cone Columbus, Summit and Centennial hops, which impart a floral aroma that has catapulted this beer to one of Pike Brewing customer’s favorite IPA’s.

MALT VARIETIES: Munich, Cara-Pils, Malted Wheat

Had this beer today with brunch at Bevridge in Ridgefield. Pours a nice golden color with a medium head that stays for quite some time, half the glass. Aroma is tropical fruits, mainly citrus and pineapple with a touch of grapefruit. Taste is fairly light and doesn't taste like a 58 IBU beer. Went very nicely with brunch. Rated 12-8-2024

Bottle from Lep-ro-Kan market. Pale golden, hazy body, big frothy head. Hops dominate the aroma and taste. Palate also has hops over it, lingering long after. Big, bold hoppy NW IPA.

On tap at the source- clear golden straw color with short foamy head leaving moderate lacing. Nose is mildly sweet and hoppy. Taste follows with sweet malt and some earthy floral hop notes. Slightly dank and resiny. Mild bitterness lingers on the finish.

Draft: Poured a clear golden color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of resinous hops notes with some nice floral undertones notes and light bitterness. Taste is also a good mix of resinous hops notes with some floral undertones with some bitterness noticeable in the aftertaste. Body is about average with good carbonation. Easy drinking North West IPA with good amount of resinous notes.

On tap. Poured a clear, golden yellow color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of pine, grapefruit and toasted caramel. Mild bitterness with sweet caramel.
