Foam lightly gushes from the bottle upon opening. Pours a light to medium golden color. Thin tight white head dissipates steadily. Some light chill haze is noted.
Aroma is quite fruity and hoppy with a slight astringent note to it. A light touch of grain aroma is noted.
Taste is ... unique. Notes of lemon, floral notes, grass and grains give way to a very astringent spicy peppery finish. Yeast is more reminiscent of a Belgian yeast that the clean yeast you'd expect from a kolsch.
Feel is quite carbonated, but isn't really crisp like Id expect from a kolsch.
Overall this is not great. Maybe the draft version is better than the bottle, but what I had wasn't great.
