An Imperial Red Ale aged in oak.
Arrives a cloudy brown/red with a tan head. Drops to ring and leaves some lace.
Smell is strongly fresh oak & tartness and naught else.
Taste is more involving with the aforementioned oak & tartness as well as malt, light hops, faint vanilla notes.
Slightly drying, the carbonation hits up front but fades fast. A bit sticky on the palate.
