Czar Face (Bourbon Barreled)

Poured a black body with minimal head and no lace. The aroma has a faint dark fruit vibe along with some woodiness from the barrels, but definitely there are touches of boozy vanilla and mild chocolate. Smooth, almost woody slick, thick body but not chewy, boozy dryness, has a roasted chocolate like sweetness with hints of vanilla/fruits and finishes dry and a tad boozy.

Chocolate, banana, and bourbon on the nose.

On the palate, sweet chocolate, banana up front, yielding to oak, and finishing with bourbon and bitter chocolate. Bitter and roasty, hoppy.

At the brewery. Again, another creative name with local significance.
Deepest black color with a thick caramel head with great retention.
Delicious aroma with intense notes of cocoa, coconut, mild bourbon, licorice and roasted malts.
Intense flavor with notes of roasted coffee beans, bourbon, wood, cocoa powder, dry coconut and molasses. Dry and bitter aftertaste with a lingering roasted note.
Full body with appropriate carbonation. Alcohol of 9% is well disguised.
Well done and balanced BA RIS with clear but not overkill bourbon notes towards cocoa rather than coffee and dry caramelized coconut bits.
