This is one of the most unique beers I've ever tasted. The combination of the unique hops from AU and NZ, Chilean malts and the oak is spectacular.

one of the more unique and delicious beers being made in denver right now, and i think its easily the best beer to come from a new brewery in a while. its a black ale, but its so much more, made with aussie and new zealand hops, and south american grain, its got a awesome nose of zesty floral and tropical hops, and sweet oak. the roast of the grain comes out in the front of the flavor, bitter enough, but packed with dark chocolate and earthy notes, the hops bring oily sweetness and resinous intensity, but like the galaxy type hops, its more fruit than dank, decidedly not west coast, and the delicate but potent nature of these hops in combination with the oak chips this was rested on make it special. vanilla and pineapple and pine and coffee are all there, its not like anything else going right now, and its delicious. creamy mouthfeel but light in overall weight, especially for its color. a really fantastic brew all up, one that should put these guys on the map!
