i havent much known or appreciate these guys for doing wild or sour of funky beers, so this one is a bit of a revelation for me. its a collaboration i heard, with some yet to open brewery in denver, we sure need another one, so best of luck to that fellow... but the beer here is great, better than other mockery stuff in a lot of ways, bretty and woody and mature tasting to me, but still honest and true to the basic style, which counts for a lot. also, when a beer is on the board at falling rock, its kind of a signifier that it needs to be tried, lousy beer almost never makes it up there, and these guys get the benefit of the doubt a thousand times over. hoppy as it finishes, but still real easy drinking, this is a rather developed beer, and while obviously still in the early stages of what promises to be a rewarding trajectory, its solid beer, the best of both worlds, and a nice one from mockery, who is apparently capable of anything now. soft and grainy feeling, ambitious, and promising...
