hands down my favorite of the several beers i had in here, a wet hop red type ipa, its amazing. maybe just a touch flat on the pour and on the carbonation in general, but just an excellent beer overall, a cool expression of the wet hops, and a great recipe with a little richer malt base than a lot of these have. its bright red in color, fairly clear, but without more than some airy white head, lazy and somewhat stagnant, but the color is gorgeous. notes of pine and hop resin on the nose, freshies for sure, but not over done, the beer smells well within balance. the flavor agrees, only mild bitterness here, tamed by the red malts but also upheld by them, the oils and pine notes carry on long. i like it being a little sweeter too, it shows a different side of wet hops than we usually see, vegetal and in bloom. i really dig this, i think the malt base is perfect, and i dont really miss the carbonation because the textures in here from the hops are fantastic. this was way more compelling than their other ipa they had working, and is my first wet hop beer of the year. great stuff from a largely undiscovered brewery, get in there and check them out!
