Choo Choo Chai Milk Stout

clever beer from this awesome little operation, and better than a lot of other beers i have had using chai and chai spice. not sure if they brewed chai and blended it right in to a finished stout, or if they just added spices at some point in the process, but its great beer. one of the few thats not too sweet, must be just a dash of lactose in here, and lower on the vanilla than others with chai too. instead its spicy like clove and allspice, with a nice cardamom element in there too i think, sort of bitter like a turkish coffee, really not too strong, but very distinct in terms of the mix of spices in here. its dosed perfectly for a really mild stout thats not as heavy on the roast and chocolate notes or on the body as many of these can be. something i could drink quite a lot of, which is not usually the case for me with spiced beers. they were smart to keep it on the drier side, i think it helps a lot with that. lots of inventive and well executed beers in here, this was the only dark one they had working, but it was very solid if you like chai flavors in your beer.
