Poured from 330mL bottle into a tumbler. Best by 9/2024.
Appearance: light golden hue with a hint of haze and a strong effervescence. Head is a finger of frothy eggshell foam; it looks nice.
Smell: mildly sweet malty aroma with a dose of yeastiness to it. Perhaps not as crisp as a classic Pilsner, but I like it anyway.
Taste: soft malt with a bit of yeastiness, as in the aroma. Bitterness is to the fore, but is balanced. Again, maybe not super traditional, but I’m rather liking it.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and a really big, smooth creaminess. Great!
Overall: a solid lager that I would gladly drink plenty of. It doesn’t conform strictly to style guidelines, perhaps, but it’s a very enjoyable beer.

4th of September, 2014. Taken from notes.
A: The body has a yellow crystal clear colour with a weak head. Almost no lacing, half a finger, no retention.
S: A bare presence of hops that goes almost unnoticeable.
T: Fainted hops with just a little bit of citrus coming along.
M: /no notes/
O: The bottle actually gives you high expectations but this batch, I hope, is almost tasteless.

Review based on the BJCP2008 guidelines (style 2B). Aroma: slight grainy and straw aroma with no floral notes from hops (very typical from a czech pils). Appearance: golden hazy appearance with orange tint. Average head retention. Taste: unbalanced taste towards malt. Very low bitterness. Palate: medium-low body with medium carbonation. Overall: a very poor aroma-wise "czech" pilsner, which have a strong floral and grassy bouquet.
