Copenhagen 27/12 2020. 33 cl bottle from Voldby Købmandsgård Webshop. Very big white “C” on the dark bottle.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small off-white head. Settles as thin patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a dark, sugary sweet odor mingling with a metallic whiff. Chocolate, toffee, brown sugar. Earthy notes. Leather. Metallic tin foil.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a strong sweetness followed by a light sour bitterness. Aftertaste is sourish with a sweet undercurrent. Dry finish.
Valuable addition to the Portuguese alphabet balanced between the sweet and the sourish.

18th of September, 2014. Taken from notes.
A: It has an opaque black brown body, with a thick head, beige, with lacing. Almost no carbonation AT ALL.
S: Roasted malts and coffee even though they're very much the same thing.
T: Sweet beer that connects very well with the sweetness of the coffee that in the end of sip goes along very well with the hop bitterness. Coffee is really a great thing to connect these kinds of things.
M: No carbonation means you're beer is not how it should be in the first place.
O: Even though I liked very much the taste of the beer, the body and the mouthfeel almost ruined my experience on this one. I expect this to be a onetime, batch-only, stuff and I'll try again another Letra C in the future.
