Poured to a teku glass.
Drinking Baylet 5.0, Rye Imperial IPA with 8.5% ABV.
A: The body is coppery to red, having an almost non-existent beige head. When swirling, it creates a good portion of head, but after a couple minutes there's only foam next to the glass.
S: The aroma is based on two simple things: a very prominent resinous profile and a malty touch incoming from the amount of rye used here. It's very interesting.
T: The taste begins with a resinous touch, having little to no fruit - for a Rye beer, that's probably a better option. The middle of the taste starts growing upwards to a more hoppy feeling that ends with a slight passed hops profile. Or it's just the lack of freshness here speaking.
M: Body is medium low. Carbonation is high though not visible. Alcohol content is present and felt on the aftertaste.
O: Never had a rye IPA before. It's not charming but it's interesting, simply for the fact of the resinous vs. rye relationship, being myself a non fan of straight resinous IPAs.
