750 ml bottle from Lifesource in Salem OR $6.99. Note says Organic Oatmeal Amber ,Batch #1, and its 5.8% abv and 35 IBU. Fine looking beer..deep amber body with a gorgeous thick, luxuriant light tan head. Aromas of thick caramel and toffee malts with a refreshing pine like hop. Taste the same as the aroma..very rich..like drinking caramel covered in dark chocolate with mint aspects. Palate is fine..medium carbonation in a medium to heavy body from the oats, plus a pleasing bitter aftertaste. A very nice amber.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium orange brown with a thin, light khaki head that dissipates to patches with ligh lacing. Aroma of caramel and light biscuit malt, Belgian style yeast, oatmeal. Flavor is dry caramel malt with light biscuit and graininess, brown bread, hints of cocoa, finishes with lightly peppery hops and residual dry malt. Nice creamy body, certainly due to the oatmeal. Not usually a big fan of amber ales, but usually love oatmeal in my ales, and the oatmeal makes this one. Fine, malty flavor, approaching an old ale profile, with the added richness and mouth feel of the oats. I like this a lot; nice malty start and an unexpected, but pleasant lightly bitter and peppery finish. I'm quite impressed with this brewery and hope to see more from them. Bottle presentation is very well done too.
