Picked this one up in Freising today,Ive tried the Dunkel from this brewery, and thought it was quite good, so I was curious to see what they pack into their Hefe.
Pours out an extremley murky lemony-bron golden color. Light fluffy head, nice looking Hefe. I really like the murkiness of this brew.
Smell is on-point. Musty wheat, sour citrusy notes, fresh yeast, fresh bitter hops, light touch of "banana", creamy grainiess, overall really smooth and balanced. It does not touch the stellar-ness of a Weihenstephan or Schneider Weisse, but is definatley a strong character.
Flavor is really..good! Strong creamy graininess, smooth wheat, fruits-citrus, orange, banana, musty yeastiness, Peppery, spritzy on the finish, fresh oatiness, and a nice bitterness from the hops, an extremly goos use of the Hallertau.
Drinkabitlty is really good, its smooth and creamy, then becomes light, peppry, spicy. The spicy finish makes you reach for the glass for the smooth first taste, so really well crafted.
Peppery, light,im thinking seafood or pork, chicken would go really well with this, or some of those jumbo white German spring asparagus im looking foward to. will buy again

Poured from a .5l bottle into a 20oz imperial pint. Thanks to Iain for the hook up!
A: Pours a hazy, pale-straw color. Creamy, three-finger head, retains for ages and leaves gobs of lace on the glass.
S: Nice big aromas, of clove, and spicy yeast. Tart citrus and banana as well.
T: Clove, orange peel, lemon, and earthy spice. Slight drying quality from the malt and a minor hop bite. Slightly sweet with a restrained citrus tang that threatens to break out, but never quite does. Nice balance.
M: Dry and spicy with a creamy sweetness. Light tangy citrus lends some depth to the mouthfeel.
D: Very drinkable and exceptionally refreshing. A great spring/summer beer!

Orange hazy appearance, typical. Beautiful head, white, creamy, and abundant.
The smell: banana and cloves. Yeast and bubble-gum. Maybe a hint of herbal.
The taste is slightly sweeter, even though it remains in typical territory, and it remains satisfating.
Medium body.
Banana in the aftertaste too, and sweetness. Maybe just a bit unbalanced toward the sweet.
