Dark roasted malts give our namesake Irish Red Ale a smooth malty flavor with a great auburn color. The spicy hop finish makes this a favorite of Tumbledown fans.

Malty but kinda dry. In every batch I've tried, the flavor has had kind of an earthy, musky, "cheesy" (?) twang, which some people like and consider "complex," but it's not what I go for in this style. Doesn't smell like much, but you can get a faint scent of that semi-herbal/semi-"cheesy" funk. Sweet but less sweet than I'd expect from a red ale--I wish it had more of that rounded biscuity character you usually get in the style, but oh well.

This one pours a creamy looking golden red color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like spicy hops, caramel, breadiness, and some floral notes.

This is pretty much spot on for the style. There's maybe a slightly elevated hop character, stylistically, but it works for me. The hop character is lightly spicy and floral, and keeps the beer pretty refreshing. There's caramel, toasted malt, some breadiness, etc. There's not much sweetness.

This is creamy, crisp, and very drinkable.

This is definitely a good example of a drinking beer. It isn't fussy, but it's well made and very drinkable.

Pint enjoyed at the Thirsty Pig. Dark ember colorednpour with a nice one-inch head that lingers. Real nice aroma of rich malt, caramel, toasted grains and subtle floral notes from the hops. Taste is sweet, but not sticky, malt and light bitterness. Finishes surprisingly dry with a warm feel throughout.

Dirt cheap in the areas around Farmington and quite tasty. If you see this in a shop do yourself a favor and grab a bottle. A great beer that won't break the bank.

Poured from a growler into a pint glass
Deep red color, white head and good lacing
Smell of maltiness
Malt comes through as main taste with a hint of hops. Good balance
Good mouthfeel
Overall a very good brew. Will purchase this brew again and again.
