L: Dark brown with a thin layer of white head with some very large bubbles. (Looks absolutely nothing like in the photo on their website)
S: Ash, charcoal, and mild coffee.
T: Strong americano coffee with overpowering bitterness that intensifies strongly in the aftertaste and lingers unpleasently for a good 30 minutes. A hint of dark chocolate in the middle, but again, overpowered by extreme bitterness. No perceived nutty sweetness, caramel toffee flavors, or other subtleties that are main points representative of this style.
F: Thin and watery with medium carbonation that dissipates quickly.
This isn't an "English style brown ale" at all, rather, it's an American Coffee Stout. Completely misleading label.
