Half liter on draught. It pours an almost opaque brown-orange color with a small, milk-white cap and a thin sheen of creamy, like colored lacing. Its nose features wheat cracker, orange peel, yeast esters, clove, and light floral hops. The taste opens with sweet banana and orange peel, along with wheat cracker, clove, coriander, and a dose of pepper and hop bitterness at the finish. The flavors are bright and bold. This ale is crisp and lite with pleasant carbonation, and with its modest 5.2% ABV you can easily drink a second pour, and will want to. Overall, Shapiro's Wheat is a tasty and fun beer to drink. It paired well with pizza.
