This very hoppy American India Pale Ale is named after the brightest stars in the sky: those of the Ursa, or Great and Little Bear, constellations. Hops are the star of this intense brew, which features heavy doses of Centennial hops both in the boil and post fermentation as dry hop additions. Despite the pungent citrusy, floral hop character, it remains balanced thanks to its sturdy malt backbone.

Pours an amber clear color with two fingers of off white uneven appearing foam(almost like homebrew) with good lacing from a twelve ounce can into a nonic Pint glass. Aroma of citrus and pine with some crystal/ kilned malt presence with flavors that follow. Good overall.

Not much taste. It smelled bland. I took a couple sips and dumped it.

12oz can, painted label. Info stamp on bottom lip is 'PKGD: Mar/25/25', about 29 weeks in the can.
Partly cloudy, deep gold colored body. Two fingers of off white head with the pour collapses back to islands and a ring. Leaves behind irregular strings of lacing.
Aroma of caramel malts and citrus/floral hops.
Taste is malty caramel sweet with hop flavors that go to citrus and floral. Aftertaste continues with this malt and hops balance.
Slightly more than medium mouthfeel. Somewhat sticky. Bitterness level is moderate but balances against the ever present sweetness. Very good carbonation.
The hops may have faded a bit but still present a good balance to the caramel malts.

It is a nice looking IPA with slight haze. A short white head is present on top. It is a dark straw color. The smell is enticingly citrusy with malty and piney undertones. The taste has citrus and piney hops at first giving way to just piney hop notes. The malt doesn't play a major role in the flavor. The feel is full with a mouth-coating foaminess. Overall, a good IPA, but doesn't stand out much.

I wish I had the time to review this beer properly. Unfortunately my time is at a premium. It's a beautiful beer in all aspects: color, head size, retention and lace. The Amber color is nice but the clarity is just slightly off. The aroma and taste put this beer at well above average but the astringency of the aftertaste is a little off-putting. Overall this is a very nice brew. If you have the opportunity give it a try, you want me disappointed.

Not your typical IPA. More like a pale ale. Nevertheless, very good flavors.
