Alcohol is currently 7.4% for the growler I filled at the Oceanside brewery. Handsome appearance with piles of white foam on the clear amber brew in the big goblet. Fruity and piney aroma is quite inviting.
Moderately sweet with a malty body. Clean and hoppy. Rich, even. It gets overly bitter which diminishes the pleasure of all the hops. Still it's intriguing.

April 1st, 2015 - Bagby's Dork Squad seems to consistently receive high marks on Ratebeer, which I discover while taking in the ocean view from the top floor. With a solid head (even in the taster glass) and a soupy brown body, it looks appetizing in the San Diego sun. The ocean breeze tries to lift and steal it away, but the scent is assuredly hoppy, with a floral tinge and a light dankness give it some of that oddly enticing body odor funk. The flavor deviates from the nose with a huge happiness and booziness. It is sweet, too, with that double IPA strength and death grip, and even a little burn. Veering on the edge of excessive, I really enjoy the assertiveness of the Dork Squad, especially in a setting like this.

On tap at CBC 2016. Hoppy as hell, dank, notes of citrus and tropical fruit, some pine. Smooth mouthfeel.
