April 1st, 2015 - Is this a Belgian? Is it blonde? Is it both? All signs point to yes. With a buttery smell seasoned with coriander and a bit of white pepper, it is inviting and appetizing. The buzzy and foaming palate gives the flavor some depth, but as I sip and sup, the foam continues to expand like fire extinguisher's, smothering the flavors. Somewhere in there is apple and pear, but it's under a compression blanket, muffled and quiet.

Light and tangy yeast-flavored brew. Pleasant bready taste with a touch of lemon. A Saison flavor with some spicy notes. Wheaty and aromatic.
Big foam in the tall Maredsous glass. Really a flavorful and pleasing brew for the lower alcohol. From the big growler purchased at the brewery in Oceanside today.
