Pine on the nose. Follows through to through to the taste. Very bitter hop presence. I like the bitterness but it finishes very dry. Malt backbone is very light with little sweetness.

Taster from flight – 05/17/2015
A: The Nerd Herd pours a bright caramel color with a slightly burnished copper tint going. Definitely well-conditioned with some fine clarity on it. I get about a half finger size white foamy cap on the taster glass that holds true for a few minutes before sinking back out to a crown. Nice rolling waves of stickiness paint the glass as I make my way through the drink.
S: The nose is more forward with a caramel malt sweetness and some clean bready attributes. Not nearly as hoppy as I was hoping for. Still has a nice earthy presence with light herbals and a dusting of pine and citrus. Nice and all but a bit weak on the greens.
T: Sweet pale malt leads with some spiced caramel and lightly toasted breads. Rolls into a few subtle waves’ of herbal and piney hops. A light zest of tangerine there. I am only getting a moderate to lighter amount of perceived bitterness to this one and the alcohol is kept really well masked. Nice balance to it in that manner but a tad sweet for my liking with not enough hop punch.
M: Lighter to moderate filling body with a nice creamy consistency and ample spritz from the carbonation. Low to moderate amount of bitterness and no alcohol heat to report. Finishes a bit dry and crisp and fairly clean overall. Not too resinous or lingering at all.
D: I found this to be okay. It is well crafted with a nice balance to it overall which makes for some simple drinking. A touch run of the mill for me and more on the sweeter side without enough hops to counter.

On tap at Obrien's. Dark Orange color, sticky lace. Aroma is sticky, sweet hops. Flavor is dank hops, sweet malt, pretty delicious to me. It's great to hit O'Brien's and get IPA's that I'll never see at home.
