Presentation: Draft, served in a pint glass.
Appearance: Very deep, dark brown color, almost black. The head is tan and thing but sticks around until the end with patchy lacing sticking to the entire glass.
Smell: Ripe fruit, sweet oatmeal and malt notes.
Taste: Mainly roasted malt with a hint of coffee and no oatmeal coming through, or anything else for that matter.
Mouthfeel: Creamy and smooth but a bit watery. Halfway between feeling light and strong with medium carbonation.
Overall: It has a good roasted malt flavor but the complete absence of oatmeal on an oatmeal stout is disappointing. The fact that it feels watery doesn't help either. A middle of the road stout at best.
