Poured from a clear glass 750mL bottle into a SP “Cheers” wine glass. Pours a light purple to medium pink with a thin collection of sudsy bubbles that make up this beer’s head. As the head dissipates it leaves a medium-thick collar around the rim of the glass. Grape must, oak and hints of citrus. Taste follows with a delicious jammy raspberry flavor I did not detect at all in the nose. Also a little tarter than the nose would suggest. Definitely does not drink like 11% though. More like 8. I dig that. Medium-full mouthfeel with an oaky dry finish. Nice wine / beer hybrid. Not too sour. Very light on the grapes. Well balanced. Fairly drinkable even if it isn’t crazy exciting.
