Okay, don't anybody get in a twist if this is a favorite location for this chain. I just happen to think the Tampa location is excellent, and had a really poor reaction to this one. I recognize that my one experience does not sum up the location but because the following are possible, I cannot recommend it:
1. There were only three Hopper's products available (on a Saturday night, mind you.)
2. The three included a fruit lambic at 11% and a Wit at around 3% that tasted like lemon soda, leaving one, a strong wheat, that really went with food at all.
3. The server did not know much about his beers, and without asking us what we liked in a beer tried to enthusiastically sell us the Berry Lambic.
4. The decorations is beer related, but compared to the Tampa location, the decor and presentation were shabbier.
5. Tampa: snappy server outfit. Palm Harbor: rumpled stained t-shirt.
Again, no axe to grind in my review, just have had such a nicer experience elsewhere. For god's sake, do not let this review send you to a Hops location. You might just want to call ahead to make sure the beer's there, or consider the Tampa location if you are not a brewpub completist.
