An amber brown beer with a little head.
Smell of malt with nuts and some bread crust notes. The smell is mainly dominated by malt and although this is a brown beer, there is no smell of any caramel malt. In the end there is little soap.
Taste is malty and strong nutty, almonds. The malt appears grainy and somehow it tastes like corn, which it is obviously not. The beer makes a decoction impression with the Maillard products. Body is quite thin.

Had this beer on a recent trip to Bavaria
Has a clear caramel color with a head that fades quickly. Has a somewhat odd smell (not really bad, but different). It has a slightly sour malty taste. I detect little to no hop flavor. Thin mouthfeel not a full flavor brew.

Die Frische der Natur is the motto of this 5th generation brewery that was founded in 1860. The Landbier pours up a large to medium bubbled head that clings nicely to the glass as it towers over a very clear brown and slightly copper beverage. The nose consists of deep malt tones with hints of toasted and roasted malts. Additionally there is a slight buttery aroma that although mild does take away from the Bier. Tasting this Bier I found it overall very mild and very drinkable. Its very well balanced and not really sweet or bitter from the beginning to the end. It shows mild flavors of malt with coffee tones coming through. Hops are earthy and play a background role. One of the better Biers from this brewery. Very drinkable. Landbier is Landbier so there is no style on Beeradvocate to use so I just checked Märzen. Its not true though
