At the tap room, into a tulip, pours a clear reddish orange/copper, with a finger of off white head, minimal retention but good lacing. Nose brings out some caramel maltiness and the more earthy wet and catty aspects of Citra and Mosaic, with hint of sweet citrus. On the tongue, for something with 99 ibus, I get some nice balance as well as a little dank bitterness. It isn't bad, but it doesn't sing either. Mouthful is medium carb and body. A little too sweet and wet an the finish, though there is a little bitter burn which helps with the sweetness. Everybody makes a double IPA now, and in a crowded field, this is between fair and good.
