Poured from an undated 12 oz. can: bright and deep golden hue with a sustained, foamy white head. I like the reference to the 5.56 caliber NATO round or .223 as we say in the USA.

A powerful citrus aroma explodes from the can open opening.

The flavor is citrusy, of course, and some subtle and sweet flavors of pineapple and mandarin are present. You could say the overall mouthfeel is slightly dank. Quite refreshing and dry, it is perfect for warmer temperatures. My only criticism is the lager drinks a little like an ale. I have only had perhaps one or two other "India Pale Lagers" so this may be normal for the style.

Well brewed Omaha Brewers! A unique tasting IPL. A great tasting bitter, hoppy lager that flirts with a Belgian flavor, but it’s not. Nice hoppy, floral aroma with a lot of bubbly and head on the pour. No worries, it adds to the attraction. A nice semi-clear gold color. Very good mouth feel, smooth and easy drinking.

Hazey looking IPA with a liberal amount of head after the pour. Very carbonated, but settled down after about 5 minutes. Strong smell of citrus (orange/lemon/grapefruit?), not very dry, slight bitter aftertaste on the finish. Enjoyable beer, tasted good with my steak.

Got this from my two oldest sons and now I feel like I need some range time...

A decent IPA, great bright yellow coloration, almost day-glow yellow with thin foam and no lacing. The smell was strong on citrus - mostly orange and grapefruit notes. Mouthfeel was way more carbonated than I preferred but it did tamp down as it warmed. The taste was about run-of-the-mill for an IPA - a blend of bitterness to go with the juicy citrus flavor - I've had better, but this was solid enough. Overall a decent brew, I'd be glad to tip a few after a day on the range.
