Clear gradients of yellow gold display under a solid but moderately short white head leaving a level layer of fine garter lace.

A cleanly balanced bitterness of citrus and evergreen cologne exhibit a little spicy and dank punch.

This was the most West Coast IPA-like beer of the particular progression we enjoyed at Mad Fritz, even with the unique blue corn used in the mash.

Poured from a 750 into a white wine glass

L: Pours a pale golden yellow. Clear with no sediment at all from the bottle. 1.5 fingers of bright white foam, which slowly dissipates and leaves very fine lacing clinging to the glass.

S: Not nearly as much citrus as I would anticipate on the nose from a pale ale. In fact, nose is primarily grain, freshly baked sourdough bread, toasted bread crumbs, subtle smell of fresh corn, and very subtle orange undertones.

T: Incredibly crisp and clean. Very malt forward for a pale-again fresh baked bread, quickly fading to a clean dry finish with subtle resinous bitterness and just a hint of orange and lemon. Really highlights the grain in the grain bull

F: Moderate creamy mouthfeel for a pale ale

O: A very simple, clean take on a pale ale--elegant in its simplicity. It really highlights the grain bill, which per the brewer's description was his aim. This would be incredibly refreshing on a hot summer day and I would absolutely have this again.
