This truly unfiltered kölsch's maize gold body exhibits a thorough haze under a tall white foam head.
A pretty assertive herbal bite gives way to a clean toastiness before a grassy, bone dry finish.
Despite its full froth, this is quite refreshingly punchy for a kölsch, and is probably the most expressive take I've had, though this is met by a cleansing oak tannin.

I'm not a huge Kolsch fan. This was a solid beer which had been aged in Chardonnay barrels. The balance was nice and probably the best part of the beer.
