Round 1: So, based upon the name of the beer, I didn't know what to expect. The description of the beer starts with "Our Oast House Ale is brewed using locally grown hops that are dried in our hop kiln (Cascade - Capricopia Hope Farm)...".
Pouring the beer into snifter glass, the beer was a solid yellow with a beautiful two finder head. The smell was lightly of hops, but more dry and not really aromatic. The taste was dry with a hop smoothness (Is that a thing?) that grew as you drank it. Surprised? Yes. Sure, you could call this a WC IPA and it is, but it was different. Well worth trying it...
Round 2: I tried a different versions with Cashmere hops. Even better than the Cascade version with the fresh, earthy aroma and floral taste differentiating this beer from the prior version. Bumped my rating on the smell. Looking forward to future versions.
