This pale straw brew has a subtle, not fully opaque but well-suspended haze topped by a tall and dense white foam head.
Not weighed down by the yeast, this is uniquely bright and even accented by little floral hints of Belgian qualities. Also unafraid of bringing a little more balance to the style, the finish is cleanly semi-bitter.
The body is light but frothy--the natural carbonation here imparts an impressively pillowy mouthfeel.
To say this about a hefe is wild, but this beer in particular reminds me of Jester King's Petit Prince, as the oaking has allowed it to develop some beautifully herbal saison characteristics without being intensely phenolic.
