On draft at Barleypop. Snifter glass. Darker purple reddish body, one finger white head, good retention, no lacing. Smell is primarily blueberry fruit, lemon acetic tartness, with a background of maple syrup that doesn't dominate. Light oak, blueberry skin funk. Flavour follows nicely, with a nice balance of tart blueberry, maple syrup sweetness. This time though the background is primarily the moderate acetic acidity of Meerts, a bit of lemon and leather. Touch of oak. Mouthfeel is lighter medium bodied, good carbonation. Crisp and refreshingly tart.
