Cellared 4.5 years. Dark brown tinted maroon body, cream colored collar. Nose is great with sweet red wine, tart purple berries, dark oak, barely any funk. Taste has huge tart and pretty acidic raspberries, wine behind, funk is more than nose, oak base is large, light floral tones with funk on finish. Tart and acidic, deep and bright. Even letting it warm up the acidity holds this one back from true greatness, still a lovely lambic inspired wild ale with a new world emphasis

375ml bottle, taproom. Funk Factory stemmed glass. Medium darker reddish body, one finger white head, short retention, no lacing. Smell is tart fruity raspberry, moderate-hefty acetic acidity, a bit of oak, lemony acidity. Straightforward fruited wild, I think that translates fairly well from the nose to the palate. It's fairly acidic, which is a far cry from the original batch of Frampaars which was more fruit-forward and less acidic than the newer versions including this one. Still, there is a big fruity raspberry tartness that has a good punch to it. Mouthfeel is medium lighter bodied, good carbonation, moderate-heavy acetic acidity on the finish that gets to be a little grating by the end of the bottle.
