Wild Goose Chase is the ninth beer in our Barn Quilt series here at FFG. For beer number nine, we decided to play around with some stone fruit! The beer had its beginnings as a wild ale that had been aging for many months on a combination of peaches and plums. After refermenting to dryness, this beer was then blended with a portion of our funkiest Foeder-fermented saison. The result is a beer that exhibits the soft, lush stone fruit characteristics that you love, while still retaining a layer of deep, musty funk.

Cellared a year. Cloudy yellow body with a white cap and far flung lacing. Barnyard funk with the star adjunct plum and peach leading with accenting orange, apricot, hay and oak in the nose. Taste adds minerals underneath, way more sour and juicier version of the nose with duller funk. Feel is sour and wet before drying out with funk and rustic oak.
