375 mL bottle obtained from the source. Pours with minimal head, coppery pink in color. Waves of funk on the nose, with some cherry, vanilla, plum and straw notes that pale in comparison. Big acidic tartness on the front palate that takes a battering ram straight to the back of the throat... but in a good way? Punchy, but lots more cherry on the tongue and a ton of oak. More carbonated on the mouthfeel than I expected from the pour.

A big, funky barrel monster that has just the right amount of fruit to provide some balancing sweetness.

375ml bottle. No dating information found.
Pale amber, with a reddish tint, colored body. Quick to dissipate head. No real lacing.
Aroma has considerable funk, with horse blanket and leather. Definitely has a sharp cherry addition to the smell. Vinous, woody, and full of oak.
Taste is tart, which extends up into the nasal passages. Lots of funk, with horse blanket, leather, and tobacco. Vinous with oak. The cherry is there from the start but emerges more at the end when the funk subsides. Cherry, oak, and funk in the aftertaste.
Medium mouth feel, with slight syrup. Supporting carbonation.
Has breadth and depth. The more extreme vinous expression tamps down some as the glass is drunk. Enjoyable cherry and funk at the end.

Purchased at the brewery. 375ml/USD 12. Poured with a nice head that quickly dissipated. Color with a pinkish/red with slight haziness. Smell was traditional American sour with some acetic notes. Taste was surprisingly balanced for an American sour. Definite cherry notes. One of the better American ones.
