A blended saison aged on peaches, cherries and blueberries. After a refermenting to dryness, the beer was aged in small format rye whiskey barrels before being conditioned on cinnamon and vanilla.

Pours an unfiltered purplish-pink from the 750mL waxed bottle, with minimal head and no lacing. Dark stonefruit, vanilla, mandarin orange and plum on the nose, contrary to the actual fruit bill. On the palate, the vanilla and cinnamon combo softens the tartness from the base acidity and cherries. The peach and blueberry finally show up near the finish, which is also the first place where some of the rye spice emerges--very subtle barrel influence, not really identifiable as rye whiskey.

Overall, very nicely balanced. I was skeptical of the vanilla and cinnamon additions, but they do play an integral part of the whole, without either being over the top or attention-seeking.
