Bottle consumed at Templo da Cerveja, on to the beer:
This is a dark amber colored beer with whisps of lace clinging to the glass. The nose is very sweet, but as a fortified vienna lager, I should have expected that. The sweetness is done well, noble and citric hops are found. Is this Samuel Adams Boston Lager on sterioids? Perhaps. The taste is not too sweet, albeit with faded hops. A note of mandarin orange attempts to break the mold of this beer. The alcohol is hidden well, features a medium-full body and easy carbonation.
Not bad where it is, nearing the sell-by date. I was told that it is amazing fresh. That will have to wait for the future.

Light copper color with a thin aired head with short retention.
Malty aroma with notes of caramels, grains and faint citrus from overripe oranges.
Spicy flavor with notes of caramels, herbal hops, overripe oranges, tea with lemon drops, anise, slightly toasted malts and lager yeast. Dry and bitter aftertaste.
Light towards medium smooth body with mild carbonation. Alcohol of 7.6% abv is well disguised despite of its lower than expect body.
Pleasant Vienna Lager, initially I did not see much on it for the hype, but it improved as it warmed up. Sure more fun than a traditional Vienna Lager, but it did not take me off my feet. It may be different with just a few days out of the tanks. That said, it reminded me of an American Lager mixed with a Vienna Lager.
