On tap at the brewery, served in a snifter.
A- Oatmeal and khaki-colored head, frothy, creamy and a finger thick. Liquid is pitch-black. Looks beautiful. 5
S- Dark roast coffee and accompanying bitterness, dark bitter chocolate, mellow caramel notes. 4
T- Robust dark roast malts and coffee. Spicy chile taste that I find in many coffee-heavy beers. Slight caramel sweetness and a floral hop finish. 4
M- Lighter medium body, creamy and a lightly viscous feel. Faintly acidic before a burly dry roastiness and stout bitterness. The finish is definitely dry. 4
It's very good, a black coffee drinker's delight. I would like a bit more caramel, vanilla and sweetness, but overall it's good.
