Chocolaty velvet will lovingly caress your tongue due to the beer being served on Nitro. That’s right Nitro. Unfortunately that means no growlers, womp womp.

I just visited the Red Door Brewery in Albuquerque for the first time. One of the beers I had was the Paint it black Milk Stout, ABV 5.60%, IBU 19. I thought it was good and the Nitro made it smooth and creamy, but I thought the coffee was too much for a milk stout.
Look: dark brown/black with a half-inch mocca colored creamy and fluffy head
Aroma: roasted malts, chocolate, coffee
Taste: roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, a tad too much coffee, and not sweet enough for a milk
stout.
Feel: medium to full.

On tap at brewery. Bitter for a milk stout, very sharp. Nitro makes for a nice texture. Big roast grain aroma follows through to taste, but none of the lactose sweetness comes through. Comes off as a regular stout. I expect a bit more "milk" in my milk stouts.
