Spotted Dog Brewery

Stopped at this location on a trip thru New Mexico a number of years back. Small location and it was fairly crowded on a midafternoon. The wait staff was friendly and helpful, and the other patrons were friendly and talkative. Beer was good and spent an enjoyable couple of hours there.

 

Hopping little brewpub on south side of town. Very small bar seats 4, 9 closely packed tables and patio out front. 18 beers on tap, the one I had was solid. Fast friendly service. The best take on Sheppard Pie I've ever had... They have a full menu I'd rate 4.5, very tasty.

 

Clean, modern decor that looks like a lot of other breweries, but it's a nice spot to chill and have a conversation. They serve mostly easy-drinking beers with a few interesting exceptions like a White IPA or a New England IPA that I had once and wish they'd served again. Other highlights include outdoor seating, tasty garlic fries, and buckets of peanuts.

My wife stopped in here for couple beers on a beautiful sunny afternoon. It's not much to look at, plain and sitting next to a mini-mart. The bar seats six, tables both inside and outside on the patio. It looks like the inside could seat 40-50 people, and easily that many or more on the outside. There's a TV over the bar.
12 beers on tap. My wife had an IPA and I had a Scottish Ale, both were good.
The brewer was there and he was fun to talk to. Our server was excellent.
A place to visit again.

 

 

Don't freak out, but they do not filter many of their beers. But, they make some quality stuff. Their Milk Stout is one of the best that I have had. They had a Wee Heavy recently that was out of this world.
