Bottled and thankfully not clear glass which is probably the only saving grace of not only this particulate beer but the series glass

A 500ml bottle with a BB of Jan 2015. Acquired a little while back from a bargain store. The label mentions a refreshing citrus aftertaste - we shall see.
A: Poured into a tulip pint glass. A clear brownish-amber colour with light carbonation. Forms a smallish head of frothy white foam that lasts for a minute or so before collapsing and disappearing.
S: Aroma of mild caramel malt with hints of nuttiness, grain, ale yeast and faint stewed leaves. OK but bland.
T: Tastes of subtle caramel malt with a dry finish. Notes of toasted grain, mild nuttiness, ale yeast, stewed leaves and a touch of cardboard. Slightly watery. Well-attenuated, followed by a faintly harsh bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth and tingly, with prickly carbonation and a thin, watery body. Somewhat astringent, accompanied by an aftertaste of acrid stewed leaves, mild ale yeast and faint grain.
O: Meh - not brilliant. Lacklustre looks, while the aroma and flavour are a dull blend of weak caramel malt, vague yeast esters and stewed leaves. Unimpressive body. No citrus hints either! Boring brown beer - not recommended.
