Finn Irish Craft Lager is inspired by the legendary Finn McCool Giant; Finn sculpted the Giant’s Causeway to be a stepping stone to Scotland.

Similarly, we handcrafted a legendary Irish lager using only the finest malted barley, hops and water giving it a bright, golden body with a refreshing citrus aftertaste.

Finn is a true stepping stone to craft, so go ahead and taste the legend.

330ml bottle from Reilly's, Lisnaskea (£1.29):
This one was a fairly ordinary beer if I'm honest, a bit basic but still quite drinkable despite the fact there wasn't much going on beyond a few grassy hops, some adjuncts and a touch of citrus. It was fresh enough on the way down and the balance was decent but it was fairly run-of-the-mill with nothing in there to make me want to buy it again I'm afraid.

A 330ml bottle with a BB of Feb 2015, so it's a little out of date. Picked up a while back from a bargain store. Described as a premium lager brewed in Northern Ireland. We all know what premium means....

A: Poured into a pilsner glass. A clear straw colour with light carbonation. Forms a decent head of frothy white foam that lasts for a minute or two before collapsing to a scuzzy-looking surface layer. Some lacing.

S: Aroma of stewed grain with hints of husks/leaves, overdone veg and faint green apples/cider. A twinge of sweetness. Not very nice.

T: Tastes of cooked grain with a harsh, dry finish. Notes of stewed leaves/husks, overdone veggies, faint green apples and acrid cardboard. Well-attenuated, followed by a subtle yet unpleasant bitterness upon swallowing.

M: Mouthfeel is light and dry, with soft carbonation and a thin, watery body. Somewhat astringent, accompanied by an aftertaste of harsh cardboard/stewed leaves and cooked grain.

O: Yuck. Not particularly good and I don't imagine that it was when fresh either. Lacklustre looks, while the aroma and flavour are flawed and unappetising. Poor body to boot. Another entry into the crowded market of low-quality lager - avoid.

Cool name. Cool label. Does not have much else going for it.

Bottled and thankfully not clear glass with a fairly inviting labelow bearing a giant with beard and shades
Pours a golden body with decent enough white head that completely goes
Tasteless pish
