On draft at Cerveteca, Lisbon.
Deep garnet black with lumpy steady cap of purple tan that trails. 4
Deep roasty nose: toast, dark caramel, coffee. 3.75
Sharp Marmite malt hit, a harsh brown sugar whack, and lean roasty dryness. 3.25
Flat cola end and tingly dry linger.
Almost medium, round, fizzy. 3.5
Uh-oh. Way too thin for both “oatmeal” and anything 8%. The sweetness is thick and nasty for whatever stripe of stout. If that’s not enough, the sugar goes as it opens and the 50 IBUs kick in, leaving it raw and chalky.
Outright ungood. 3.5
