22 oz. bottle (probably very old) from my favorite discount bin pours a murky medium brown with the tiniest of white heads and no lacing. Smells more like a sour or wild ale than an IPA. Aroma has barnyard yeast, pomegranate, and some other fruit. Body is medium to full with average carbonation. There are enough hops noticeable in the finish to make this bitter. The aftertaste is something like oak: almost what I would expect from a barrel aged beer. Weird. Maybe it was OK when it was fresh.
