Juicy tropical fruit beginning to the taste, followed by moderate hops, slight honeydew, and then finished off with dry champagne feeling yeast. NIce flavor, but doesn't have the lasting power to keep your attention for a whole glass. Smell is also one dimensional, really not invoking the staple pleasant brut ipa odors. Good carbonation for style, mouthfeel a little dry

Pours a thick matte opaque yellow color. Thick frothy white head dissipates steadily but only partially leaving a thin layer of white velvety foam on top of the beer. A thicker ring remains on the outside of the beer. Nice head retention. Some sticky lacing is left along the glass as the beer is consumed. If the brut IPA should look like champagne - clear(ish), effervescent, and light, then the appearance of this beer is completely off base. But otherwise, this is a very nice looking NEIPA.

Aroma has notes of peach, pineapple, mango, some pilsner malts do come through with a slight grassy note. Its in line with the general aroma profile of the fruit forward IPAs.

Taste has notes of peach, mango, pineapple, clementine, and lots of lemon and orange rind notes with a strong grassy bitterness that slowly eases up on you before really becoming quite pronounced on the finish. Lingers on the finish awkwardly long. Pilsner malt backbone is present, but takes a back seat. The bitterness becomes stronger as it warms.

Feel is medium bodied with a fuller mouthfeel - almost creamy like. Certainly not the light effervescent mouthfeel I was expecting from this style and far more reminiscent of the NE style IPAs. Dry finish is there though.

Overall this is a solid beer thats far more NE style IPA than brut IPA regardless of what they're calling it. The only thing that fits the brut style is the dry finish.
