Pints on tap at Flinger's Pizza Pub in Blmgtn, Illinois 9/9/24.
L: SRM 4 Pours a glowing golden caramel color with a flat, smooth, white 1/4" head that recedes to thick edge foam, low carbonation, light sticky lacing with very faint banding.
S: Caramel malts, butterscotch, very gently nutty, fruit bread.
T: Taste follows aroma plus a touch of white grape skin, light grains, sweet malts, yeast, distant fruit zest in the finish.
F: Smooth medium-bodied almost creamy mouthfeel with a moderately full center and a medium-length velvet finish that isn't really drying.
O: This is a fabulous American-brewed English Pale Ale. The malts really shine in the spotlight but it is truly a well-balanced beer all together. Great tasting and so smooth it gains my trust. It is excellent in its style.
