L: Pours a hazy grapefruit juice color with no head or no lacing.
S: Sourness and guava, some sweetness and a bit of a floral aroma.
T: Sourness and guava fruit make up the majority of the taste, quite rich and sweet for a sour.
F: Starts off prickly at the beginning but slowly grows richer creamier mouthfeel.
O: Very unique and different sour that is pretty solid.

Beer #700 for me....yeah! A nice little collaboration between The Dandy and Twin Sails!
A- Well this one pours a hazy golden color that has hues of pink grapefruit, shandy brown and rusty tones throughout. The head is pretty much non existent to begin with and fizzles out rather quickly into a very thin ring around the inside of the glass...hmmmm. Carbonation is kinda sorta hard to see what is happening, however from the top of the liquid there seems to be a few columns of carbonation rising to the top....lacing is pretty much non existent too....kind of flat overall in terms of appearance.
S- Very much of tropical fruits to begin with (guava, mango tones, passion fruit tones), which is to be expected.......there is some minimal sourness happening, which is countered nicely by some creamy notes, sweet malt richness and on the finish is some subdued hop bitterness....nothing that makes me go 'whoa!' but definitely on the fruity side of things.
T- Upon my first taste, I admit that my mouth puckered a bit lol, and the sourness really hits the back of the palate! Once the senses get used to the flavor, there are notes of candied sour guava, tart raspberry, and zesty grapefruit flesh. To help balance things out, there is a well rounded malt richness, yeasty biscuit and fresh cream goodness that keeps the sourness in check. The finish I didn't find was overly bitter....just fruity....and the taste lingers somewhat for a couple of minutes afterwards.
M/O- Soild medium bodied brew with a good amount of fine Champagne like carbonation....very nice for this interesting style. I think this makes a fine thirst quencher and while it is sweet/sour, it is not an overpowering sensation at any given time. I think the drinkability factor is high and if this in fact a one off, I wouldn't mind getting it again before it is gone! Recommended....too bad the look didn't match the rest but that's ok!

I’ve been down the Milkshake IPA road enough times that I feel like I know my way. This is a bit of a departure - erring on the side of a Pop Shoppe novelty. That said, there is enough grainy malt, slightly off tropic fruit, an earthy hops to remind you, “This is a beer, motha fucka!” An interesting one-off, not sure if I would actively pursue this one again.

473ml can - the second collaboration with Twin Sails, wherein they have created a Pink Guava Milkshake Sour.
This beer pours a hazy, medium golden yellow colour, with a teeming tower of puffy, loosely foamy, and mildly fizzy off-white head, which leaves a few specks of soap scum lace around the glass as it quickly blows off.
It smells of sour tropical fruit (guava, sure), spoiled milk, gritty and grainy cereal malt, a further hint of domestic citrus rind, and some very tame earthy, musty, and floral hop bitters. The taste is grainy and crackery pale malt, some what I assume is pink guava fruitiness, sour cream, muddled orange and red grapefruit citrus rind, and more understated leafy, weedy, and musky floral hoppiness.
The carbonation is adequate in its palate-supporting frothiness, the body a decent middleweight, and mostly smooth, as only the acridity of the guest fruit causes a minor ripple in the mouthfeel continuum here. It finishes off-dry, the malt and waning frooty essences presiding.
Overall - this comes across as a pleasant enough soured offering, as the focus is on the guava, and not the grain. Easy to drink, crisp, and thus an appropriate summer quaffer for all your patio, deck, and balcony needs, at least for the next month or so.
