473ml can - I just literally yesterday had a brew called 'Oakey Dokey Smokey', and now this one has essentially the same words in its marketing blurb. That's some dope-ass apophenia.
This beer pours a clear, medium bronzed amber colour, with four pudgy fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and chunky off-white head, which leaves some random splotchy lace around the glass as it slowly seeps out of sight.
It smells of gritty and grainy cereal malt, white wine lees, a bit of earthy nuttiness, some mild generic citrus rind, and very tame leafy, herbal, and floral noble hop bitters. The taste is bready and doughy caramel malt, muddled pome fruity notes, still indistinct domestic citrus peel, a hint of gooseberry, oily bar-top nuts, and more understated earthy, musty, and dead floral hoppiness.
The carbonation is average in its palate-satiating frothiness, the body a decent middleweight, and essentially smooth, with nothing really a cause for any sort of concern at this point in the process. It finishes off-dry, with the mixed frooty essences predominating.
Overall - I dunno, but I guess this one is aptly named, as it's my third wobbly pop of the day, which corresponds to my current roster of things that make me cheerful. Worth checking out, for whatever reason you deem suitable.
